As most of you may know, we moved into a new home at
the beginning of June. We love our new home and our
so glad we moved! <3
One of my favorite parts of moving into a new home
is getting to decorate it. Every home has a
different feel to it and a different style that just
works.
I am not a huge fan of having tons of wall decor
that is just words of random things. For me, I like
the walls to tell a story about our family and our
life and the things we love to do.
I put pictures EVERYWHERE! This is an ongoing
project for me. I am always putting up new images
and changing some out for new ones.
I thought that today would be a great time to share
with you guys how I have the walls in my living room
set up. :)
Warning! I mix match my frames. <3
When you walk into my home there is a little knook,
I used this spot to put an 11x14 of my husband and I
both holding our daughter for the first time, then 2
5x7's of us as a family and one 4x6 of Bailey in the
middle. :) I also have a bookshelf below it and I
put two 4x6 of Bailey there.
Next is the large wall near our tv. Our couches are
positioned in an L shape and one faces this wall
straight on. I chose to use an 8x10 Poppy Tree Frame
as the center peice holding a family picture and
then put a small inspiration peice below it. To the
left I put only pictures of my husband and daughter.
Top to Bottom is a 4x6 , 8x10 , 5x7 and 4x6. On the
right I put only pictures of my daughter and myself.
Top to Bottom is a 4x6 , 8x10, 4x6 and 4x6.
The next wall is to the left of the wall above it is
a small wall that forms a square in the middle of my
kitchen. I chose to use this wall to be a place to
pictures of our friends and family. This is above my
daughters play kitchen and she loves being able to
look up and see her family and friends. Top to
bottom is 8x10 , 4x6, 8x10, 4x6, 8x10, 4x6 , 5x7 .
The next wall is the wall in the hallways leading to
the stairs. I chose this wall as Bailey's Showcase
wall. It is only pictures of Bailey being well...
Bailey! There are currently 5 8x10's and a 4x6. This
wall isn't finished yet. It still has about 3-4
8x10's that need to be hung up and a couple 4x6's.
I'll share this wall again once it is finished.
UPDATE:
Here is the updated version of the wall above. I still need to adjust the spacing and straighten some of the images. It is still missing one image( It fell and broke! Boo!) and the image of myself and Bailey is just a placeholder for that image. :)
(Pardon the crappy quality image below, the sun moved to the back of my house so not a lot of natural light)
