Welcome Home, Major Chanin { Military Homecoming}

Myndi contacted me awhile back about photographing her husband's homecoming.
This was his final deployment and he is retiring later this year.
I jumped at the chance to photograph it for her.
We chatted, we prepped and I could tell just by our messages how excited she was that he was coming home.

When I arrived at the airport, I was early so I walked around taking normal detailed shots.
I wanted to make sure I photographed all those little details that tell the story of Major Chanin's final homecoming.

I got a call from Myndi that her and her son Sam had arrived. I could hear the excitement in her voice. I was greeted with hugs and laughter. We chatted about their life and sat and waiting patiently for an update.
She chatted with another air force wife whose husband was also coming home.

We waited..... It was the LONGEST 30 minutes EVER!
Then that awesome text arrived...

It read " Guess where I am!!"
Now the banner came out and everyone waited to see him coming through the terminal!
Her face lit up with joy and in the excitement she forgot to text me back.
Then we saw faces.... smiling faces in the distance....

Sam bolted to his dad.... He had missed him so much.

Hugs and excitement and baggage pick up commenced.

Now they are reunited.

Thank You so much for allowing me to capture such a special moment!
