Thankful
It is the little moments in life that you realize how thankful you are for certain things. The past few days my daughter has been feeling bad and it is in these moments that I realize how thankful I am to have her and my husband in my life. Even though she was feeling bad, she would snuggle up to me and tell me " I love you, mommy." Nothing beats the feeling that I get from hearing that. All the temper tantrums and attitude no longer matter. It's the little things. My husband had to work during her not feeling well but he didn't one little actions that just made me realize how thankful I am to have him. Before bed, he pushed our couches together laid out a comfy comforter put down some pillows and blankets and pulled up a end table to make give us a spot to set drinks. He made this spot for our little one and I to sleep that night knowing that it might be a long night for me and he wouldn't be able to help due to work. He wanted us to be comfortable. It was such a little thing to do and only took him a few moments but it meant the world to me. I am so thankful for my little family.
Day 2: Photographs
I am thankful for photographs. I know .... I know... I'm a photographer of course I like photographs, they pay my bills. That is actually not why I am thankful for them, although that is another reason. I am thankful for photographs because they capture memories and allow you to relive a moment forever. When a person has passed all you have left of them is a memory and a photograph. My walls are covered in photographs and I find myself looking up at them in moments throughout my day and smiling while thinking about the many memories. Photographs are meant to be printed and hung and put into albums. They are meant to be viewed. I am so thankful for all the photographs I have currently and all the future ones I know I will have.
